 He is Professor of Law at the University of Padua, where he teaches International Commercial Law and Transnational Commercial Law [in English] and where he is Co-Director of the Permanent Workshop on Economic Law.

He is Associate Research Fellow in International Commercial Law at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies - IALS (School of Advanced Studies - University of London).
He also teaches International Energy Business Law [in English] at the University of Pisa and at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen.
 
He was Regular Visiting Professor of Law at St. Benet’s Hall, University of Oxford, then he was Regular Visiting Fellow in International Commercial Law at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) in London and finally Regular Overseas Visitor in International Commercial Law at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies – IALS (School of Advanced Studies - University of London). In the past he was Professor at the Pontifical Lateran University, in Rome, where he taught International Economic Development Law and where he continued as Visiting Professor of International Private Law.
 
He represents Italy in the International Chamber of Commerce’s Commission on Commercial Law and Practice – CLP, in Paris [where he is vice-chair of the Task Force on Jurisdiction and Applicable Law and member of the Task Force on European Contract Law].
 
Professor Toni di Cigoli is member of the Editorial Committee of Agribusiness, Paesaggio e Ambiente  and of many associations including Il Trust in Italia, the Associazione Italiana per l’Arbitrato and the Associazione Internazionale Lateranense.
 
His study and research interests as well as his works are focused on Commercial and Financial Law combining international, European, comparative and transnational perspectives.
 
He is an international jurist and arbitrator.
 
 
 
 
E’ Professore nell’Università degli Studi di Padova, dove insegna Diritto del commercio internazionale [International Commercial Law] e Transnational Commercial Law [in lingua inglese] e dove è Co-Responsabile Scientifico del Laboratorio di Diritto dell’Economia [per lo sviluppo sostenibile e l’internazionalizzazione delle imprese].

Rappresenta l’Italia alla International Chamber of Commerce’s Commission on Commercial Law and Practice – CLP, a Parigi [dove è co-chair della Task Force on Jurisdiction and Applicable Law e membro della Task Force on European Contract Law].
 
Il Professor Toni di Cigoli è membro dell’Editorial Committee della rivista Agribusiness, Paesaggio e Ambiente  e di molte associazioni incluse Il Trust in Italia, l’Associazione Italiana per l’Arbitrato e l’Associazione Internazionale Lateranense.
 
I suoi studi e gli interessi di ricerca applicata sono focalizzati sul Commercial and Financial Law, combinando prospettive giuridiche internazionali, Europee, comparate e transnazionali.
 
E’ un giurista internazionale, e ricopre incarichi societari ed istituzionali.
